Farm Camp will have a similar structure and activities to farm school with the addition of water slides and popsicles!

Week 1: Feast and Fowl
June 8-11
Feast and Fowl will focus on learning to grow, harvest and eat food (culinary class) as well as an emphasis on learning poultry husbandry. We will be harvesting green beans, tomatoes, okra and cucumbers, as well as learning to make ferments and other products with many of the veggies we harvest to delight our tastebuds and increase our gut health. Did you know a chickens ear color will give you a clue about what color eggs it will lay? That Chickens actually get clean by rolling in the dirt, and how to choose the right breed for the backyard. Your student will stay cool with popsicles and plenty of water play activities.
Week 2: Botany and Bees
June 15-18
Botany and Bees will be focused on learning about plants, seeds and soil as well as an emphasis on learning all about about the honeybee and various jobs bees perform within the hive to bee health and behavior and different products from the hive such as beeswax for making candles. We will learn to communicate through the waggle dance and have a lot of fun being on the farm. We will learn about food as medicine as well as natural plant dyes. Your student will stay cool with popsicles and plenty of water play activities.
